Getting back into shape…

Vegan muscle building attempt #4: Getting back into shape… Every cell in my body wanted to leave the gym mid workout. It’s amazing how my brain wants to keep me where I am, despite where my heart wants me to be. My heart won, I finished my workout… Barely.

Ugh, this is frustrating!

Starting day 1 of another vegan body building program. Ugh, this is frustrating! I’ve been vegan for 10 months, and I’ve done 3 28 day vegan bodybuilding programs that I compiled from various vegan fitness books, including Tim Ferris’ 4 Hour Body. Attempt failed to produce any visible results on my body.

After each attempt, I did nothing, zip, nada, no working out for 2-3 months and ate nothing but junk to “clean the slate” so to speak, before attempting the next program.

All it has done is make me very depressed. I hate feeling “unhealthy, weak, and out of shape.” It’s a major shot to my ego and confidence.

These feelings are relative, of course, to where I was just 1 year ago, just before I went vegan…

Then 2 months ago, I had a thought in the middle of the night – actually, it was more of a download. I decided to say “screw the vegan body building books” and instead listened to my intuition.

That’s right, my intuition (because I have zero successful experience building muscle on a vegan diet so intuition’s all I got!) and I took a blank sheet of paper and designed my own vegan body building nutrition and workout routine.

Why am I even bothering going through all of this trouble, failing with these programs, letting my body go, and suffering such terrible insecurity? What motivates me to keep torturing my ego and experimenting with my body?

To summarize why, and please forgive me for the ambiguity, I will say it is because it breaks my heart to know how much needless suffering is a result of global animal product consumption. My heart truly physically aches at the thought. My mission is to show that consuming animal products and the suffering it causes is not necessary.

I’m 100% convinced there’s a way to get as hot and healthy as you want on a 100% plant-based diet that will work for everyone. I believe there’s a way to do it so that the results not only come 100% of the time, but come quickly.

This picture is day 1 of another 28 day attempt to build muscle on a 100% vegan diet using a 100% original program guided by my heart. Lets see what happens… Stay tuned.
